"By
the end of the decade over a billion
computers and electronic waste will have to
be recycled. In simple terms, this is
stuff people just don’t want. But if
you look beyond what is unwanted and in
disrepair, a keen eye can see value and
purpose. Not unlike the homeless
within our communities, one must look beyond
their obvious plight and see that untapped
trove of talent that can be discovered and
realized. We continually seek
innovative ways to create jobs and
opportunities for at risk individuals who
are willing to make a positive change in
their lives, and the environment that we
live in."

URC's Computer Training Program consists of courses in computer literacy,
computer refurbishing, rebuilding and recycling. Classes incorporate a
combination of hands on technical training and practical classroom theory. Upon
graduation each student will receive a computer, which they have personally
rebuilt. Additionally, they will leave with the knowledge and skills needed to
successfully enter the work force.
All of the Computers and Materials used in our Training Program are provided
by our generous Donors. We at Urban Renewal would like to thank all of our
Donors for the continued support of our program. To become a Donor to
